I love to travel the world and it is wonderful when you can find special objects, which are characteristic of a certain place. In this case I did not have to go too far, but just back to my home-country, Russia. This scarf was given to me by my grandmother some time ago, but only recently I understood the beauty made by the colors, the prints and the materials. When I was younger I always looked at the Russian grandmothers who wore these scarves as hats or as a shawl, so I always associated this particular type of scarf to old age and I thought that bringing it I would seemed an old women out of fashion. Only now I can appreciate its beauty because it reminds me of my origins, culture and costume of my people.

Adoro viaggiare per il mondo ed è stupendo quando riesci a trovare degli oggetti particolari, caratteristici di un certo luogo. In questo caso non sono dovuta andare troppo lontano, ma semplicemente tornare nella mia patria, la Russia. questa sciarpa mi è stata regalata dalla mia nonna qualche tempo fa, ma solo negli ultimi anni sono riuscita a capire la sua bellezza fatta di colori, stampe, materiali. Quando ero più piccola vedevo sempre le nonne russe che indossavano queste sciarpe come copricapo oppure come scialle, e quindi ho sempre associato questo particolare tipo di sciarpa alla vecchiaia e credevo che portandola sarei sembrata una vecchietta fuori moda. Solo ora riesco ad apprezzare la sua bellezza anche perché mi ricorda le mie origini , la cultura e il costume del mio popolo.
